A Tale about Love and Trees

This very personal piece is finally completed! I wanted to wait a little bit until I posted it on the blog because I made one major change to the piece. But if you have been following me on Facebook, then you might have seen it already in its uncorrected version.

Here is “Enlacés” (which means Entwined) a 11×14 watercolor, colored pencils and acrylics illustration of my feelings for a special someone. I’ve poured a lot of my heart an soul into this one!

For those who might be interested, prints of this illustration are available at my Etsy shop. My own personal website is being seriously revamped, so it won’t be available there for a while.

Working On a Very Big Piece

I honestly cannot remember when was the last big painting I did in watercolor. And lately, a special someone inspired me this piece with dryads. I thought it would be great to post work in progress of it as I go!

There is about 10 hres of work on this painting so far… and counting!

An Odd Couple for Halloween

I started this sketch at a Drink and Draw that I organized a week ago. I honestly didn’t expect much out of it until I finished the characters and felt like I could push this illustration a bit further. After quite a few hours of inking and ink washes, this is the final result!

I’m loving working with ink and ink washes more and more, I admit!

New Black and White Illustrations

I’ve had the chance to go to Krafty Day and to meet for the very first time Kimmie Reid and all her lovely Krafty Girls! While at Krafty Day, I brought all my paints, papers, brushes and decided to do a few doodles! And I wanted to share two of them here on my blog! Each took about 3 hres to do, I think.

I must admit they are probably my favourite to design during the year. I just look creating the spooky, macabre characters. Hopefully, you will like them too! I decided to color Belinda Bones. It’s all Photoshop again, but it’s still different from how I usually color!
